President Liu Limin Attends the Opening Ceremony of the China-Russia Years of Education

On the afternoon of May 20, the opening ceremony of the China-Russia Years of Education was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin attended the ceremony and delivered remarks, and jointly unveiled the emblem of the China-Russia Years of Education. Dr. Liu Limin, President of the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), was invited to attend the opening ceremony and the welcoming banquet. He  was interviewed by the Xinhua News Agency on China-Russia educational exchanges.
During the interview, President Liu Limin stated: "We will firmly leverage education as a bridge to unite the strength of the youth in China and Russia. By dedicating our hearts and efforts to every single exchange program, we aim to facilitate the two-way flow of knowledge, technology, and ideas, and build a premier platform for young people from both sides to share ideas, communicate from the heart, and sublimate their friendship."
The Department of Higher Education Cooperation of CEAIE actively participated in the design and production of the official emblem for the China-Russia Years of Education. Moving forward, CEAIE will act in the spirit of the consensus reached by the two heads of state, to deepen cooperation in talent cultivation, practice the concept of mutual learning among civilizations, and carry forward the tradition of friendship. CEAIE will actively expand cooperation in areas such as university collaboration, talent cultivation, faculty and student exchanges, and mutual experience sharing.
