Meeting of CCHEIC Academic Network for Agricultural and Life Sciences was Held in Jinan

On May 26, the 2026 Annual Meeting of China–CEEC Modern Agricultural Science and Educational Innovation Alliance and the Academic Network for Agricultural and Life Sciences under the China–Central and Eastern European Countries Higher Education Institutions Consortium (CCHEIC) was held in Jinan, Shandong Province. The event brought together nearly 300 representatives from governments, universities, research institutes, enterprises, and international organizations.
In his video remarks, Mr. Ren Youqun, Vice Minister of Education of China, recognized the Network for its active role in promoting academic exchanges, joint talent cultivation, and sharing of research achievements between China and CEECs, as well as its contributions to regional educational cooperation and agricultural development. He expressed his hope that the Network would further advance cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, talent cultivation, and platform development. Mr. Nikos Papaioannou, Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports of Greece, also delivered video remarks.
Mr. Yu Yang, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Education Association for International Exchange, highlighted the recent progress and achievements of CCHEIC and encouraged all parties to leverage the multilateral platform for more substantive collaboration. During the meeting, on behalf of the Chinese Secretariat of CCHEIC, he presented the plaque of recognition to Shandong Agricultural University as the coordinating institution of the Academic Network.
