On March 27, the Zhi-Xing China: U.S. High School Students Delegation, consisting of students and teachers from Lincoln High School and Steilacoom High School, concluded their 11-day visit to China. The delegation was invited by China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) to participate in the "Young Envoys Scholarship: Zhi-Xing China Fellowships".

During the farewell event on March 26, American students and teachers shared their discoveries and experiences from the visit. The students showcased their views on Chinese cities, campuses, and social life, expressing respect for China's achievements in social development and offering suggestions for future US-China cooperation in environmental protection and sustainable development. Lincoln High School Principal Karl Hoseth emphasized that the China they saw firsthand was very different from what they had read about in books. The visit was fruitful and exceeded their expectations. He expressed a desire to maintain the tradition of educational exchange with China and organize more visits for American students to China.

Fu Bo, Deputy Secretary-General of CEAIE, warmly addressed the American students, encouraging them to remember their Chinese friends, stay in touch, and become lifelong friends. She urged them to share their experiences in China with their family, friends, and classmates and invite more peers to visit China, becoming young ambassadors for US-China friendship and world peace. Before the end of the event, Fu Bo presented the delegates with YES certificates for their participation in the "Young Envoys Scholarship: Zhi-Xing China Fellowships".

During their more than 10-day journey, the students experienced China's rich historical heritage at famous landmarks, the unique charm of Chinese culture through various activities, built friendships with their Chinese peers through shared experiences and interactions.

The delegation visited Tsinghua University High School, Peking University High School, Guangzhou Guangya High School, Guangzhou Zhixin High School, and Shenzhen Nanshan Foreign Language School, where they paired up with Chinese students to experience school life in China. They also visited Peking University, Capital University of Physical Education and Sports, and Jinan University to learn about higher education and study opportunities in China. The students explored the Forbidden City, climbed the Great Wall, visited landmarks like the Bird's Nest and Shougang Park, and participated in activities such as tai chi, dragon and lion dancing, woodblock printing, calligraphy, paper cutting, making dumplings and snacks, playing ping pong, street dancing, and singing songs like "On the Fields of Hope" and "Jasmine Flower." They also planted a "China-US Youth Friendship Forest", creating a shared melody of friendship between Chinese and American youth.
In November 2023, President Xi Jinping announced at the United States' welcoming banquet in San Francisco that China would invite 50,000 American youths to China for exchanges over the next five years to expand exchanges between the peoples of China and the United States, especially the younger generation. This visit by the student delegation from Washington State was part of this exchange program.
