Fu Bo Meets with Raúl Sánchez, Vice President of the University of Salamanca

On March 20th, Ms. Fu Bo, Deputy Secretary-General of China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) met with a delegation led by Vice President Raúl Sánchez of the University of Salamanca. Both sides exchanged views on cooperation in areas such as teacher training, language learning, and student exchanges.

Ms. Fu Bo highlighted the program carried out by CEAIE in recent years. She invited faculty and students from the University of Salamanca to participate in Young Envoys Scholarship (YES) to visit China and gain a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of China. CEAIE is willing to cooperate with Spanish universities to promote in-depth understanding and establish cooperation between Chinese and Spanish higher education institutions by organizing forums, seminars, and reciprocal visits.

Dr. Sánchez introduced the University of Salamanca, which is one of the oldest higher education institutions in Europe and has significant influence in the Latin-g American countries with its 80-year-long history. The university has formulated a cooperation plan targeting China and has established a Chinese studies department, welcoming Chinese students to study in Spain. He extended invitation to CEAIE and Chinese universities to visit the university to further deepen the exchange and cooperation between Chinese and Spanish universities.

Professor David Doncel, Director of the East Asian Studies Program at the University of Salamanca, and Dr. Dong Guanpeng, Vice Chairman, China Public Relations Association, attended the meeting.
