PRESIDENT LIU LIMIN VISITS DALIAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

On April 10, 2025, President Liu Limin visited Dalian University of Technology (DUT). Prof. Jia Zhenyuan, President of DUT and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, met with President Liu and the visiting group. Both sides exchanged views on higher education’s discipline construction, Sino-foreign jointly run programs and institutions, local internationalization and the latest progress and future plans of the university's internationalization strategy. Yang Jun, Secretary General of CEAIE, Fu Bo, Deputy Secretary-General of CEAIE, Zhou Li, Deputy Director General of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education, and Kong Feng, Deputy Director of the Education Department of Liaoning Province participated in the meeting.

President Jia Zhenyuan expressed his gratitude to CEAIE for its long-term support for the internationalization of DUT, and introduced the university's history, distinctive advantages, innovative measures, and reform achievements. During the meeting, DUT’s Vice President Luo Zhongxuan briefed on the university's approaches and measures in accelerating and expanding the opening up of education in the new era.

President Liu Limin fully commended the positive progress made by DUT in serving the overall picture of education opening up. He pointed out that DUT has leveraged Sino-foreign jointly run programs and institutions as a platform to promote the construction of a world talent center and an innovation highland based on national strategy, Northeast location, and university characteristics. In the future, CEAIE will continue to support DUT’s development of internationalization. It is hoped that the university will play a more important role in the Double First-class University Network, integrate the experience and resources of the university and the region in international cooperation, and further expand the advantages of higher educational collaboration with Japan and European countries to serve the university’s global strategies.

President Liu Limin and the visiting group also visited the National Key Laboratory of High-Performance Precision Manufacturing at DUT.
