The Young Envoys Scholarship- "YES Friends" Cooperation Mechanism and YES Theme Song Launched

On December 23, the official launch event for the Young Envoys Scholarship (YES program) -“YES Friends” collaboration mechanism, along with YES theme song, "It's Great to Know You," was held in Beijing. The event brought together nearly 300 participants, including representatives from educational authorities, institutions, enterprises, and other organizations spanning 30 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities. Yang Jun, Secretary General of China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), attended the event.
At the event, Yang Jun presented commemorative plaques to the 9 founding members of the "YES Friends," including Air China and Visa Worldwide Pte. Ltd., marking the official unveiling of the cooperation. Cui Hongqiang, Deputy Director of the Commercial Committee at Air China, and Yin Xiaolong, President of Visa China, delivered speeches on behalf of all founding members.
The theme song for the YES program, titled "It’s Great to Know You," was produced in July as a joint initiative between the American One Voice Children's Choir and the High School Affiliated to Xi'an Jiaotong University. Speaking on behalf of the collaborators, Principal Zi Yanyang of the High School recounted the stories of this artistic collaboration at the event.
In November 2023 in San Francisco, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced an important initiative, inviting 50,000 young Americans to China on exchange and study over the next five years. The YES program was launched to support this powerful initiative, and CEAIE serves as its primary executive entity. CEAIE launched the "YES Friends" mechanism within the framework of the YES program to mobilize resources by engaging a broad coalition of supporters. This cooperation welcomes domestic and international industry associations, leading corporations, non-governmental organizations, and dedicated individuals committed to fostering educational exchange between China and the world. By cultivating an open, collaborative, and mutually synergistic network, "YES Friends" seeks to build a sustainable future for youth exchange and fortify the foundation of people-to-people ties between China and the world.
