President Liu Limin attends BRICS-TCA Online Seminar on Cooperation in the Field of Technical Vocational Education and Training

On 29 May, BRICS-TCA Online Seminar on Cooperation in the Field of Technical Vocational Education and Training was held in Moscow in a hybrid format. CEAIE President Liu Limin was invited to attend the seminar online and he delivered the welcoming remarks. The seminar was hosted by the Federal Institute for the Development of Vocation Education and Training (FIDVET) of Russia, which holds the rotating chairmanship of BRICS-TCA in 2024. Mr. Denis Gribov, Deputy Minister of Education of Russia gave remarks via video. Nearly 100 representatives from BRICS countries attended the seminar.
President Liu Limin said that the cohesion of BRICS-TCA has been increasing, the foundation of cooperation has been strengthened, the field has been gradually expanded, and the influence has been continuously enhanced. The BRICS-TCA would continue to expand the all-round cooperation, especially through strengthening the cooperation in digital education, jointly exploring new modes and methods, promoting the common sharing and optimal allocation of educational resources, providing strong talent support for the industrial transformation and upgrading of BRICS countries, and bringing new vitality to the economic and social development of each country.
Ms. An Yan, Deputy Secretary-General of CEAIE, Mr. Usman Rassukhanov, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Public Relations of the Russian Ministry of Education, Mr. Sergey Kozhevnikov, Executive Director of FIDVET, 2024 rotating Chairman of BRICS-TCA, Mr. Viktor Neumyvakin, Head of the State Policy Division of the Department of Secondary TVET and Training of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation delivered keynote speeches.
At the meeting, representatives from China, Russia, South Africa and other countries had in-depth discussions on the themes of "Experience, opportunities and achieves in TVET systems of the BRICS countries" and "Cooperation in the BRICS-TCA: achievements and expectations". Ms. Hu Dianyu, Vice President of Zhengzhou Railway Institute of Vocational Technology, introduced the current development of TVET in China with the topic of "China’s TVET in the New Era". Ms. Zhao Ye, Deputy Director of Department of TVET of CEAIE, participated in the discussion on "BRICS TVET Alliance Cooperation: Achievements and Prospects".
