Secretary General Yang Jun Meets with Delegation from the U.S.-China Education Trust

On December 9, 2025, Mr. Yang Jun, Secretary General of China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) met with a delegation from the U.S.-China Education Trust (USCET), led by Professor David M. Lampton. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including expanding educational exchanges and cooperation at the graduate student level.

Secretary General Yang Jun shared CEAIE’s key achievements in promoting U.S.-China educational exchanges in recent years, outcomes and progress of the “Young Envoys Scholarship” (YES Program) and “Zhi-Xing China” programs. He stated that these programs have effectively facilitated mutual learning between Chinese and American youth. Secretary General Yang emphasized CEAIE’s willingness to further collaboration with USCET to jointly invite more American scholars and graduate students to China for study, visits and research, .

Professor Lampton spoke highly of the role of CEAIE as a bridge in promoting bilateral educational cooperation. He noted that, under the current circumstances, academic and youth exchanges between the U.S. and China are of great importance. USCET will work towards building feasible programs for graduate study and internship programs in China, actively explore cooperation opportunities with non-governmental institutions such as CEAIE, and contribute to the steady and far-reaching development of educational collaboration between the two countries.

Madelyn Ross, President Emeritus of USCET, Rosie Levine, Executive Director of USCET, and others accompanied the visit. Representatives from the Department of Higher Education Cooperation of CEAIE participated in the meeting.
