Deputy Secretary-General Fu Bo Meets with Vice-President of Laurentian University, Canada

On November 17, 2025, Ms. FU Bo, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), met with Alain Simard, Vice-President of Laurentian University and his delegation. The two sides exchanged views on the opportunities and future directions of China-Canada educational cooperation.

Ms. FU provided an overview of recent developments in educational exchanges between CEAIE and its Canadian counterparts. She expressed CEAIE’s commitment to sharing its platform and resources to facilitate deeper collaboration between Laurentian University and Chinese higher education institutions. She extended invitation for Laurentian University to participate in the 27th China Annual Conference & Expo for International Education (CACIE).

Mr. Simard outlined Laurentian University’s academic strengths and its existing partnerships with Chinese universities in dual-degree programs, faculty exchanges, and joint research. He conveyed the university’s desire to broaden cooperation with Chinese institutions, as well as to explore innovative models for China-Canada collaborative education programs. He also expressed interest in attending CACIE in 2026.
