Young Envoys Scholarship Newsletter Vol.19

This issue of the “Young Envoys Scholarship” program Newsletter highlights 8 key activities of the exchange program for American and European teenagers in China from June to July 2025. More than 400 teachers and students visited cities including Haikou, Guangzhou, Nanchang and Wuxi. They participated in summer schools and exchange camps themed "Blue Carbon and Coastal Wetland Research", "Chinese Culture and Technological Innovation", "International Youth Dialogue" and "Cutting-Edge Scientific Research Exploration", conducting thematic seminars and academic dialogues.

They visited scientific research institutions and technology enterprises such as blue carbon laboratories, NIO Inc. and Zhijiang Laboratory, where they carried out industrial chain research activities focusing on marine ecological research, digital economy, intelligent vehicles and biomedicine. They also experienced traditional Chinese cultural practices including Li ethnic group characteristic salons, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) culture, traditional pottery making, and indigo dyeing with movable-type printing. Additionally, they took part in Sino-foreign youth interaction programs such as the "Phoenix Night" Salon and China-U.S. Youth Friendship Party. These activities have enriched the content of exchanges between Chinese and foreign youth and enhanced their friendship.
