Secretary General Yang Jun Attends Wenzhou-Kean University China-US Cultural and People-to-People Exchanges Seminar

On April 26, Yang Jun, Secretary General of China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), was invited to attend the China-US Cultural and People-to-People Exchanges Seminar at Wenzhou-Kean University and participate in a dialogue on "Enhancing Cultural Exchange, Promoting Mutual Learning Among Chinese and American Youth".
Yang Jun introduced CEAIE's educational exchange programs with the US, particularly the efforts made to implement President Xi Jinping's significant initiative to invite 50,000 American youth to China for exchange and study over the next five years. He discussed the progress of these efforts and proposed suggestions for overcoming challenges and further promoting American youth exchanges in China. Yang emphasized the need for increased interaction, communication, and mutual understanding between the educational sectors of China and the US. He also highlighted the importance of enhancing publicity to provide greater support for youth exchanges between the two countries.
The dialogue was chaired by Cary Anderson, Executive Vice Chancellor of Wenzhou-Kean University. Participants included Alicia Edwards, Consul and Director of the Public Affairs Section at the US Consulate General in Shanghai Linda Carter, New Jersey State Assembly Member and Chair of the Higher Education Committee and leaders and student representatives from Wenzhou-Kean University responsible for student affairs.
As part of the event, Yang Jun and other guests presented "Young Envoys Scholarship" (YES Project) badges and certificates to the visiting American students from Kean University.
