2024 China-ASEAN Capacity Building Workshop (Horticulture Session) Held

From 11-18 May, the special session on modern horticultural technology of the “2024 Capacity Building Workshop of CATC” was successfully held. The event was hosted by CEAIE and organized by Jiangsu Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry. Party Secretary Jian Zuping, President Pan Yongsheng and Vice President Wang Jin, of Jiangsu Vocational College of Agriculture and Forestry, and Zhao Ye, the Deputy Director of TVET Department of CEAIE, attended the opening and closing ceremony.
11 teachers from the National University of Laos participated in the week-long workshop which invited well-known experts in China to deliver lectures on horticultural technology and its latest development in China. The participants visited horticultural production enterprises and learned about the current development of the horticultural industry and experienced cultural activities.
Mr.Sengkhamkhoutlavong Bouadam, Vice President of the National University of Laos who participated in the workshop said that the workshop was a great success and the Lao teachers learned advanced professional skills and witnessed the latest scientific and technological achievements in the horticultural industry, and would bring back what they have learned to Laos to make greater contributions to horticultural technology teaching and scientific research in Laos.
The “ASEAN Friendly Principals and Elite Teachers Leadership Program" is organized and implemented by China-ASEAN TVET Consortium for capacity building of faculties from TVET colleges and universities in ASEAN countries. Regularly held each year, it aims to promote mutual learning and common development in the field of TVET between China and ASEAN countries.
