In order to promote language and cultural exchange and understanding between young people in China and the other countries, and to improve foreign language education in Chinese schools, since 2005 we have worked together with partner organizations overseas to provide opportunities for young people and experienced teachers to work as language teachers in different schools throughout China. Till now, more than 1,000 international English teachers, who are holding a Z visa, have been assigned to over 200 schools in 21 provinces in China, benefiting 150,000 students. Several educational institutions including universities, schools and training institutions will benefit greatly from the programs.
As a foreign teacher or teaching assistant in our programs, you will be provided a 10 month teaching contract by the host school and TEFL training including the on-line learning and two week training camp prior to your formal teaching by CEAIE. You will be responsible for one teaching class with 10 to 60 students inside by yourselves with 20 hours per week.
As an English Language teacher in our program, you will have the chance to learn Mandarin, discover the Chinese education system first-hand and immerse yourself in a local community. Your transferable skills, confidence and adaptability that will make you outstanding to the future career path will be gained during the one year impressive living and teaching experience in China.
