NOTICE OF FAVORABLE VISA POLICY FOR YES PROGRAM APPLICANTS

In November 2023 in San Francisco, Chinese President XI Jinping announced an important initiative “inviting 50,000 young Americans to China for exchange and study over the next five years.” In May 2024, during Chinese President XI Jinping’s visit to France, he announced that “promoting the number of French students studying in China to exceed 10,000 in the next three years, and double the scale of European youth exchanges in China.” To facilitate the exchanges between the peoples of China and other countries, particularly among the younger generations, the “Young Envoys Scholarship” (YES) program came into being, and China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) has been acting as the lead executing institution of YES program.
To support these initiatives and YES program, the Chinese Embassy and the Consulates-General in the U.S. and Europe will issue five-year or three-year F visa with multiple entries to eligible applicants who receive exclusive YES Invitations issued by CEAIE. At the same time, visa processing fees (including expedited fees) will be waived.
Application procedure:
Step 1: Find a Chinese host educational institution.
Step 2: Chinese host educational institution could register at the YES platform https://www.pmplatform.youthlink.cn to apply for the YES program invitation letters for American and European Applicants.
Step 3: Applicants bring YES program invitation letter and relevant documents to the Embassy or the Consulates-General in the U.S. and Europe for visa application.
