An Yan Meets with Charymuhammet Shallyyev, the President of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Institute

On February 24th, An Yan, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) met with Mr. Charymuhammet Shallyyev, the President of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Institute (CAREC Institute). Both sides engaged in a friendly and in-depth discussion on strengthening educational cooperation between China and the Central Asian region.

An Yan expressed CEAIE’s willingness to further strengthen collaboration with the CAREC Institute and jointly promote practical cooperation in higher education, vocational education, and other fields between China and Central Asian countries, making positive contributions to regional educational development.

Mr. Shallyyev expressed his gratitude for the warm reception,with CEAIE’s support, looked forward to expanding cooperation in areas such as university student internships, academic conferences, and faculty and student exchanges, to further enhance exchanges and cooperation in education, culture, and the economy between Central Asia and China.

The Executive Director of the UNITAR SDGs and Leadership Development Center, Gao Ling, accompanied the visit. Officials from the CEAIE’s Vocational Education Cooperation Department, Higher Education Cooperation Department, and China International Education Institute (CIEI) also attended the meeting.
