Publish Date: 2024-12-07 | Visits: 138
From November 12-17, 2024, Ms. Fu Bo, Deputy Secretary General of the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), led a 52-member delegation of Chinese secondary school principals to visit the United States. This was the first and largest delegation in the field of basic education to visit the U.S. after the pandemic. The purpose of the visit is to resume the partnership with U.S. schools, share the school-running experiences of Chinese and U.S. secondary schools, explore cooperation in STEM education, teacher development, and mental health, and introduce the “Young Envoys Scholarship” to the U.S. education community in order to encourage more U.S. teachers and students to visit China for exchanges.

On November 13, the China-U.S. Basic Education Exchange Conference, co-organized by CEAIE and American University, was successfully held in Washington, D.C. The two sides held in-depth discussions on STEM education, teacher capacity building and other topics of common concern in recent years.

On November 15, the China-US Basic Education Exchange Seminar, co-sponsored by CEAIE and China Institute, was successfully held in New York. The two sides showcased their international exchange and cooperation programs and achievements, and shared their strategies and experiences in establishing stable partner schools.

The delegation also visited American University, Theodore Roosevelt High School, Academies of Loudoun, Francis Lewis High School, etc.
