On March 27, 2026, Yang Jun, Secretary General of China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), and Sean Stein, President of the U.S.-China Business Council (USCBC), officially signed the memorandum of understanding during the USCBC reception. Both parties will jointly develop the “YES Friends” partnership, aimed at fostering youth exchanges between China and the United States and creating a platform dedicated to the advancement and support for bilateral people-to-people engagement.

In November 2023, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced an important initiative, inviting 50,000 young Americans to China on exchange and study over the next five years during his visit to the United States. To support this initiative, Young Envoys Scholarship (YES program) was established and CEAIE is serving as the primary coordinating entity of the YES program. As part of broader efforts to consolidate resources, CEAIE has introduced the “YES Friends” mechanism under the YES Program. This initiative invites industry associations, leading corporations, civil organizations, and individuals-both domestic and international-who are committed to advancing educational exchanges between China and the global community, to join as “YES Friends.” The mechanism seeks to build an open, collaborative, and mutually supportive network to promote more sustainable youth exchange initiatives, thereby strengthening the foundation of people-to-people ties between China and other nations. The “YES Friends” framework was officially launched in Beijing in December 2025.
Organizations and institutions with a strong sense of social responsibility and a demonstrated commitment to public engagement are encouraged to join “YES Friends.” For inquiries, please visit https://www.youthlink.cn/#/ and contact: YES@ceaie.edu.cn.
