China-Serbia Rectors Forum Successfully Held in Belgrade

On October 17, 2024, the China-Serbia Rectors Forum, co-hosted by CEAIE and the Belt and Road Institute, Belgrade, was held in Belgrade. More than 80 university leaders, educational experts, and policymakers from over 40 Chinese and Serbian universities attended. Distinguished guests, including Li Ming, Chinese Ambassador to Serbia,  Fu Bo, Deputy Secretary-General of CEAIE, Dr. Aleksandar Jović, Serbian Assistant Minister for International Cooperation and European Integration in Ministry of Education and Dr. Marina Soković, Serbian Assistant Minister for Science in the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation attended the forum and delivered speeches.
In the presence of forum participants, MOUs were signed between several universities: the University of Novi Sad and Tianjin Chengjian University, the University of Niš and Lanzhou University of Technology, and the University of Priština with North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, as well as Nanyang Normal University.
During the forum, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including the digital transformation of higher education, opportunities and challenges in faculty and student exchanges, and strengthening pragmatic cooperation in research.
During the visit to Serbia, the Chinese delegation also met with leaders and representatives from the Belt and Road Institute, Belgrade, and the University of Niš.
