On July 31, Dr. Liu Limin, President of China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), met with Ms. Roberta Lipson, Vice Chair of the American Chamber of Commerce in China (AmChina). The two sides discussed the collaboration possibilities on exchange programs for students and young professionals between the United States and China, promoting mutual understanding between the Chinese and American people. Ms. Fu Bo, Deputy Secretary-General of CEAIE, was present at the meeting.

Dr. Liu Limin appreciated Ms. Lipson’s efforts in enhancing people-to-people exchanges and mutual understanding between the two countries. He introduced the work of CEAIE. CEAIE has been committed to promoting exchanges between the young people from China and the United States, and has worked with its American partners to carry out multiple programs to facilitate exchanges. As the executive entity of the “Young Envoys Scholarship (YES)” program, CEAIE have invited delegations of teachers and students from American universities and high schools to China in the first half of this year. CEAIE looked forwards to potential collaboration with AmCham China, exploring more possible ways to bolster the exchange between the two countries, particularly through exchange programs.

Ms. Roberta Lipson expressed her appreciation towards CEAIE and was delighted to know more about the YES program as well as the updates. She expressed her willingness to encourage more American companies to get more involved in people-to-people exchanges between the two countries and further promote the healthy development of people-to-people exchanges between China and the United States.
