SECRETARY GENERAL YANG JUN MEETS WITH DELEGATION FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF ALBERTA, CANADA

On March 18, Mr. Yang Jun, Secretary General of the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), met with Prof. Tang Tian, Vice-Provost (International Education and Enrollment) at the University of Alberta, Canada. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on topics such as joint education programs, cross-border education, and youth exchanges.
Mr. Yang reviewed the history of China-Canada educational cooperation and introduced CEAIE’s recent programs and activities with Canada. He expressed hope that both sides could further expand cooperation areas and enhance collaboration based on their existing partnerships. CEAIE will continue to support the University of Alberta and other Canadian educational institutions in deepening joint education programs with Chinese universities, and will actively integrate resources to provide more support for targeted matchmaking between Chinese and Canadian universities.
Prof. Tang Tian gave an overview of the University of Alberta's collaboration with Chinese universities. She expressed that the university places great importance on its cooperative relationships with Chinese universities, and hopes to enhance practical cooperation in areas such as joint education programs, student exchanges, and capacity building.
Dr. Huang Cen, Senior Special Advisor on China to the Provost at the University of Alberta, representatives from CEAIE's Department of Higher Education Cooperation and Department of Cross-border Quality Assurance participated in the meeting.
