Chinese HEI Delegation Visited Spain and Ireland to Enhance Cooperation on QA and TNE

China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) sent a higher education institution delegation to Spain and Ireland from June 8 to 13, 2026, with the aim of enhancing partnership in transnational education and its quality assurance. 

In Madrid, Spain, the delegation participated in a China-Spain Cooperative Education Quality Assurance Seminar co-organized by CEAIE and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM), visit the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), UCM and the Embassy of China in Spain, and had discussion with the Universitat Politècnica de València, the University of Salamanca, and QA agency in Madrid. 



In Dublin, Ireland, the delegation took part in a China-Ireland Cooperative Education Quality Assurance Seminar jointly organized by CEAIE, Education in Ireland (EI) and Dublin City University (DCU), visited DCU and University College Dublin (UCD), and had discussion with Quality and Qualification Ireland (QQI). 



Ms. Yang Cancan, Director of Cross-Border Education Partnership Office, Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of Chinese Ministry of Education, introduced China’s policies and reform pathways for transnational education, encouraging high-level universities of Spain and Ireland to develop transnational education programs in China.



The visit achieved numerous outcomes. Chinese HEIs reached a wide range of cooperation intentions covering transnational education, faculty and student exchange, teacher training, joint curricula development and academic research etc., with Spanish and Irish counterparts.
