According to an agreement between CEAIE and the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, for five years beginning from 2009, CEAIE would select about 20 Japanese majors with excellent performance from higher education institutes in central and western China each year for a one-month study program in Waseda University.
During their stay in the university, the students would intensely study Japanese language, culture and social realities and conduct relevant research. In addition, they will have dialogues with Japanese students and attend activities such as cultural visit in Kyoto and Osaka. This program provides the opportunity to visit Japan for university students from central and western China where international exchanges are rare. It carries positive significance for exchanges between the two countries’ youth.
