Introduction
Established in July 2012, Commission on Chinese-foreign Cooperation in Education (CCCE) is a sub-commission of China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) with the support from the Chinese Ministry of Education. It is a national professional association voluntarily formed by educational institutions implementing Chinese-foreign joint programs at upper and post secondary levels. The CCCE is committed to providing services to Chinese-foreign cooperation in education, including accreditation, consulting, capacity building, research and publication, as well as communication and promotion.
Mission
The CCCE works to strengthen the coordination among educational institutions, the education sector and the government, enhance the capacity of joint institutions and programs, promote their self-regulation and exchange and cooperation with domestic and foreign peer institutions, so as to ensure their quality and serve the healthy and sustainable development of Chinese-foreign cooperative education.
Accreditation
Drawing on the advanced concepts and experience of international cross-border quality assurance and the features of Chinese-foreign cooperation in education, CCCE carries out accreditation in accordance with standards jointly recognized by the government, education sector, and member institutions, with the aim of ensuring and enhancing the quality of Chinese-foreign joint institutions and programs at upper and post secondary levels.
Consulting
CCCE provides needs-based one-stop consultation and services for establishing joint institutions and programs, including policy and needs analysis, risk assessment and feasibility study, identification of overseas partners, qualification review, negotiation with stakeholders and assistance with domestic procedures, etc.
Capacity Building
CCCE helps to strengthen international educators’ capacities in facilitating international exchanges, implementing joint programs, and managing international curriculum and teaching-learning for domestic institutions, to ensure the healthy and sustainable development of joint institutions and programs.
Research and Publication
CCCE develops a database of joint institutions and programs, edits and publishes academic papers and materials, conducts research on Chinese-foreign cooperation in education and produces research reports, so as to provide recommendations for government’s decision-making and for the sector’s development.
Communication and Promotion
CCCE endeavors to build a platform for international exchange and cooperation by working with foreign quality assurance bodies in activities such as accreditation, personnel and information exchange; it also collects and promotes the best practices in Chinese-foreign educational cooperation.
