The Opening Ceremony of the 4th Zhi-Xing China Fellowships Was Held in Beijing

CEAIE successfully hosted the Opening Ceremony of the 4th Zhi-Xing China Fellowships in Beijing on June 3rd, 2018.

Dr. Xiao Hong, CEO of the Perfect World Network Technology Company Limited, Mr. ZhouJi’an, General Manager of China United SME Guarantee Corporation, Mr. Dong Guanpeng, Vice Chairman of China Public Relations Associationattended the ceremony and delivered remarks on behalf of the sponsor and EF China Fellows.Nine Zhi-Xing China Fellows from the industries of trade, energy, media, agriculture, health care, artificial intelligenceand information technologygave short presentations respectively on their expectations on the four-week program.

Officials and representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Budget and Work Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, National Research Center for the Development of Industrial Information Security and iFLYTEK also attended the ceremony.

In the next four weeks, Zhi-Xing China fellows will attend seminars in Beijing and visit Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education and the Perfect World. They will start their individually-tailored visits to 4-6 cities across China afterwards. In the last week of program, they will get together in Shanghai to attend the closing ceremony.

As an important outcome and an exemplary program of the 5th round of China-U.S. High-Level Consultation on People to People Exchange, Zhi-Xing China Fellowships was launched on December 17th, 2014.The Program provides valuable opportunities for the fellows to communicate with Chinese people from all walks of life and obtain a comprehensive understanding of China. It also helps the fellows gain industry-specific insights, network and make friends with their Chinese counterparts. Hope the fellows to become great force in facilitating greater understanding and friendship between the two peoples and advancing win-win cooperationbetween the two countries.
