The meeting reviewed the history of the friendly cooperation between China and Thailand in the cultural and educational communication of middle school students. The meeting also invited the representatives from Jiamusi local chapter and program schools that have reached the prominent level in Chinese-language teaching and hosted the largest number of students in the past years to communicate and share their experience with the rest of the attendees. Mr. Sanan Angubolkul highly appreciated the efforts made by the China Education Association for International Exchange in completing the reception work for students from Thailand in recent years, and put forward valuable suggestions on further strengthening the cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and Thailand.

Furthermore, under the guidance of “The Belt and Road" Initiative, CEAIE and AFS Thailand made several discussions on the prospect of program development during the meeting, and defined “increasing the number of program participants, expanding the types of programs, and promoting regional development” as the main goal of the future development plan. With the help of platforms including Office of Chinese Language Council International and Beijing Language and Culture University, CEAIE and AFS Thailand will integrate resources and provide more space and opportunity for the cultivation of Chinese-language personnel in Thailand.
