On March 17th 2016, a training workshop of reviewers for accreditation of Chinese-foreign joint institutions and programs was organized by the Accreditation Center for Cross-border Education of China Association for International Exchanges (CEAIE Accreditation Center) in Beijing. Over 30 reviewers participated in the training workshop. Mr. Zong Wa, Deputy Secretary-General of CEAIE, attended the workshop and delivered a welcome speech.
CEAIE Accreditation Center provided orientation for reviewers on accreditation guidelines, standards and procedures, as well as reviewers’ responsibilities, code of conduct and accreditation techniques. Experienced reviewers were invited to share their best practices. The Center also invited Ms. Fiona Crozier, Director of International Cooperation Office and Mr. Fabrizio Trifiro, Deputy Director from Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education, UK (QAA) to introduce UK’s higher education and transnational education quality assurance.
Training of reviewers is an important means to ensure and improve the quality of accreditation. CEAIE Accreditation Center organizes such training workshops on a regular basis.
