The 3rd Presidium Meeting of the Vocational Education Committee (VEC)-CEAIE was held in Beijing on January 21st, 2016. Mr. Zong Wa, Deputy Secretary-General of CEAIE, and Mr. Lin Yu, Director of Higher Vocational and Technical Education of Department of Vocational and Adult Education, MOE, attended the event and delivered speeches.
The meeting was divided into two phases. In the first phase, attendees reviewed the working report of the VEC-CEAIE in 2015, approved its work plan for 2016 and discussed the draft of 13th Five-Year Plan of the Committee. Mr. Zong Wa pointed out that VEC-CEAIE should enhance self-construction through core competence building, brand building and organizational building.
The second phase of the meeting focused on discussion about drafting the “The Plan of International Exchange and Cooperation in Higher Vocational Education (2016-2020)”. Mr. Lin Yu emphasized that this would be the first international development plan for the vocational and technical education sector in China. CEAIE is entrusted by the MOE to draft the Plan within the year 2016.
