Department of TVET Programs and Professional Training

Under the mission to promote international exchange and cooperation of vocational education in China, the Department of TVET Programs and Professional Training conducts leadership training and professional development programs for secondary and higher vocational colleges; corresponds with the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics; develops international programs in TVET sector; provides resources to and help facilitate accreditation on China-Foreign jointly-run programs in vocational colleges; coordinates programs and activities carried by the Vocational Education Committee of the CEAIE; implements governmental vocational education programs authorized by the Ministry of Education. Meanwhile, entrusted by the Ministry of Education, the department proposes and carries out authorized short-term overseas training for Chinese technical and managerial professionals, with an aim to address difficult issues in the process of China’s educational reform and development. To achieve this aim, the department also formulates working procedures and standards for short-term overseas training programs, maintains positive working relations with China Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and conducts analysis on overseas training policies.
