Zhao Lingshan

Mr. Zhao Lingshan earned his BA at Beijing Foreign Studies University from 1984 to 1988. In 1996, he studied at Saint Petersburg State University with Chinese government scholarship. 

Since 1988, Mr. Zhao started to work at Ministry of Education of China, then State Education Commission. He has worked temporarily in Pingdu city, Shandong province in 1991 and Northeast Normal University in 1993. His was the Third Secretary, Second Secretary in the Education Office of the Chinese Embassy in Russia from 1998. Then he was the Deputy Director, Director of the Division of Study in China, Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, Ministry of Education. Since 2010, he acted as the Deputy Director of Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, Ministry of Education. 

Mr. Zhao was appointed as Secretary-General of CEAIE in November 2017.

Deputy Secretary-General:
Shen Xuesong

Ms. Shen Xuesong got her Bachelor’s Degree of Arts and Master’s Degree of Education from Beijing Normal University (China), and Master’s Degree of Public Administration from Ball State University (USA).

Ms. Shen joined China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) in 1996. She worked as Program Officer of International Liaison Department, Senior Officer of Academic and Information Exchange Department and Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department till 2006. From 2006 to 2012, Ms. Shen worked for UNESCO as Liaison Officer and Education Officer in UNESCO New York Liaison Office and then as Education Program Specialist in Education Sector, UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. She was appointed Director of Executive Office after she returned to CEAIE in 2012, and also Director of Project Development and Marketing Department one year later.

Ms. Shen was appointed Deputy Secretary-General of CEAIE in October 2014.

Deputy Secretary-General:
Zhou Yan

Ms. Zhou Yan has been working in the field of education since completion of her higher education. She obtained her BA degree in History from Beijing Normal University in 1983. In 1999, Ms. Zhou studied at Columbia University in New York as a visiting scholar.

Ms. Zhou worked for then State Education Commission from 1983 to 1994, firstly working at the Higher Education Division of the Policy Research Office, and then promoted as Executive Deputy Director of the Administraion Office of National Center for Education Development and Research (NCEDR).

From 1994 to 2001, Ms. Zhou was Director of Information and Research Office of NCEDR, Ministry of Education.

In the year 2001, Ms. Zhou joined in China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) as Director of Asia-Europe Affairs Department and the Administration Office respectively till 2007.

From 2007 to 2012, Ms. Zhou worked as Educational Consul at the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in New York.

After the mission, Ms. Zhou returned to CEAIE and worked as Director of Membership Affairs Department and Director of Vocational Education and Training Programs Department.

In October 2014, Ms. Zhou was appointed as Deputy Secretary-General of CEAIE.
