General Introduction
Founded in 1981, China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) is China’s nationwide not-for-profit organization conducting international educational exchanges and cooperation. Its headquarters is located in Beijing.
CEAIE has a full commitment to meeting the needs of China’s modernization construction, developing exchanges and cooperation between the Chinese educational community and other parts of the world, promoting the advancement of education, culture, science and technology, and strengthening understanding and friendship among the peoples of all countries and regions of the world.
The activities CEAIE currently carries out are to support major People-to-People dialogue and exchange mechanisms between China and US, China and Russia, China and UK and China EU respectively, provides quality assurance service on China-Foreign cooperative programs to CEAIE members and holds the China Annual Conference for International Education and the International Education Expo.
CEAIE has provincial associations for international exchanges in 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities as well as local chapters in 15 major cities. Its members include institutions from entire education sector in China.
CEAIE has established a wide network with partner associations and institutions at home and long-term working relationship with over 170 educational organizations in more than 50 countries and regions.
CEAIE has been granted the Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations and established the official relations with UNESCO.
