International Medical Education Committee of China Education Association for International Exchange
International Medical Education Committee of China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE-IMEC) was formally established in December 2016. IMEC is a sub-branch of CEAIE, and is voluntarily organized by these CEAIE member institutions that have international medical education programs. It works under CEAIE’s leadership and is committed to building a learning and exchange platform for Chinese international medical education.
Mission
IMEC abides by CEAIE Charter, other related laws and regulations. Under the guidance of CEAIE, IMEC strives to serve its members to promote the development of international medical education in China.
Scope of Operation
1. To organize activities for teaching and management experience exchange among the Chinese personnel who are engaged in international medical education, and to upgrade the quality of teaching, management and cultivation of international medical students in China.
2. To organize such events, at the national level, as teachers training, demonstration class, lecture competition in English, and the editing of teaching syllabus/ standard textbooks and other relevant work.
3. To carry out the quality assessment and supervision of the clinical medicine undergraduate education (English course, MBBS) project and other medical education for foreign students in China, under the leadership of the Ministry of Education.
4. To assess the research subjects and the teaching academic achievements, including textbooks, videos and equipment about international medical education in China.
5. To undertake other assignments from the Ministry of Education and CEAIE.
