CEAIE-Study in China Seminar Held Successfully in Xi’an

To promote the development of study in China and increase the attraction of China’s higher education overseas, sponsored by China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) co-organized by Northwestern Polytechnical University and China's University and College Admission System (CUCAS), the CEAIE-Study in China Seminar was held successfully in Xi’an on April 14th. The seminar themed with how to enhance the promotion of China’s universities and colleges overseas, as well as improve the strategies of recruiting foreign students to study in China, attracted delegates from 13 provincial education departments and 112 universities and colleges. The seminar was chaired by Ms. Shen Xuesong, Deputy Secretary General of CEAIE. Mr. Sheng Jianxue, Secretary General of CEAIE, Mr. He Guoqiang, Vice President of Northwest Polytechnical University and Ms. An Yan, Director of Division for Student Mobility, Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Ministry of Education attended the siminar. 

Professor Dong Guanpeng, Dean of the Academy of Media and Public Affairs, Communication University of China delivered the keynote speech with the topic of China and foreign universities and colleges’ Omnimedia Communication 3.0. Four delegates from the provincial education department and universities gave speeches on how to promote study in China.

The delegates also participated in group discussions and shared their views on promotion of the websites and publicity materials of the universities and colleges,  cooperation model between Chinese and foreign universities, colleges and organizations, development of courses taught in English and employment-oriented study-in-China programs.
