The Opening Ceremony of the 3rd Zhi-Xing China Fellowships Was Held in Beijing

CEAIE successfully hosted the Opening Ceremony of the 3rd Zhi-Xing China Fellowships in Beijing on June 3rd, 2017.
Mr. Sheng Jianxue, Secretary General of CEAIE attended the ceremony and delivered an enthusiastic welcome speech. Mr. Chen Dali, Director of Division of American and Oceanian Affairs, Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, MOE, Dr. Xiao Hong, CEO of Perfect World Network Technology Company Limited and Mr. Jacob Schneider, Program Officer of EF attended the ceremony and delivered remarks on behalf of the MOE, sponsor and partner.Eight Zhi-Xing Fellows from the industries of education, agriculture, health care and entertainment gave short presentations respectively on their expectations on the four-week program.
Officials and representatives from Department of Personnel, Bureau of Textbooks, MOE, Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs, MOFA, Bureau of Science and Technology for Development, CAS, Renmin University of China, University of International Business and Economics, China Women’s University, IQIYI, and representatives of EF fellows and Zhi-Xing China Program Officers also attended the ceremony.
As an important outcome and an exemplary program of the 5th round of China-U.S. High-Level Consultation on People to People Exchange, Zhi-Xing China Fellowships was launched on December 17th, 2014. The program upholds the philosophy of combining knowledge and practice. Through the four-week long individually-tailored visits, the fellows will understand China’s past and present better, obtain insights into their professional areas, expend their professional network, establish friendship with Chinese people and ultimately become strong impetus for advancing mutual understanding among Chinese and American youth and promoting win-win cooperation between the two countries.
