On May 25th, Mr. Liu Limin, President of China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE)held talks with Mr.Zhang Jianguo, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Director General of State Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs. Other participants included Mr. Zong Wa, Deputy Secretary General, representatives from the Department of Vocational Education and Training, as well as Mr.Xia Bing, Office Director of China Association for International Exchange of Personnel(CAIEP).
On behalf of CEAIE, President Liu said, CEAIE and CAIEP had mutual willingness and a great foundation for further collaboration. He conveyed his thanks to theState Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs for the support and guidance given to CEAIE’s work on overseas training programsand his hope for further support. Liu noted that ever since the document--Opinions on Deepening Medical Education Cooperation and Further Promoting the Reform and Development of Medical Education was issued by the State Council, CEAIE has taken the initiative to implement the spirit of the document by establishing a special commission oninternational medical education, in the aim of further promoting collaboration between medical universities, home and abroad.
Mr. Zhang Jianguo committed to sparing no effort in supporting the collaboration of CEAIE and CAIEP.
